Cheshire Mask Progress by MaskedMenoly Cheshire Mask Progress by MaskedMenoly
I finally started working on cosplay again (It's been too long!) and this is my in-progress Cheshire Cat from Young Justice Mask.
It's all molded out of clay at the moment and once I finish tweaking it, I'll be making a negative mold out of algenate and then a positive mold out of plaster. After that I intend on experimenting with Vaccuforming to construct the Mask I will wear. So, it's definitely a work in progress with a lot of steps left to complete, but I'm excited about it :)

I used modeling clay. I bought mine at Michael's. Its the type of clay that never hardens, it always stays pliable

Cheshire definitely needs some cosplay love! Here's how my turned out, by the way. Ended up using Model Magic and THANK GOODNESS because it was so lightweight. Haha try to hide some air holes in there if you can, much more user friendly! :P

awesome! nice shots! good tip on the ventilation hmmm...I'll have to think of some strategic ways to do that. I finally cased my mask and it's now plaster casted, just some touch ups left and on to vacuum forming the plastic!
