Annnnd.....the mask is DONE! painted with Angelus leather paint and shadowed for a more dimensional effect. Can't wait to wear this! but now I have to work on the actual costume >.<

What a terrific mask, It looks perfect, Please could you tell me what you used to make the eyes black. Did you use black tinted perspex?

oh wow  im thinking of doing Cheshire next year for PAX AUS but im not exactly sure how to do the mask, so how do you do the leather part? i have clay so i figure i could mold the mask out of that but i got confused with the leather part?

well making my mask was a 4 step process just to get to the leather part. 

1) I molded the shape out of clay onto my plaster face cast
2) I then made a negative alginate cast of the clay mold
3) then I used that negative alginate cast and made a positive plaster cast. (This allowed me to have a solid form of the shape I wanted)
4) I then wet the leather and pulled/formed it over the positive plaster cast to get the shape.

Hope that makes sense and at least helps you somewhat.

i know right? I already got my boyfriend to agree to being dressed up as Red Arrow too lol (he isnt kidding anyone, he loves Roy as much as i do XD) 

the mask though omg. i'm worried about that
